Bridal bouquet

I would like to keep my wedding bouquet around for some time. While we were gone on our honeymoon my mom hung my bouquet out to dry. I now keep it in front of our wood burning fireplace in a glass hurricane vase. Walking by it daily keeps our wedding memories alive.

Fun with sun. And shadows.

Taking pictures has become one of my favorite past times. One day I was sitting out on our porch enjoying some morning sun, and caught my reflection in my iphone screen. The shadows painted on my face from the sun inspired me to take this picture.

Portabella pizza

I am definitely not one to follow recipes. I like to see what we have, what I'm in the mood to eat, then put it together. Being creative in the kitchen has made cooking very enjoyable.
This is my portabella mushroom pizza. It's simple, easy, and healthy!

One portabella mushroom per person

Chop up tomatoes and basil

Saute 2 cloves of garlic (chopped), onions, salt, pepper and a little lemon in olive oil

pour tomato, basil, the cooked onion, and garlic on top of portabella. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, and bake in oven on 350 for 20-30 minutes.
Delicious!!!

Weather or not it's January, it feels like June.

I love that our house gets a ton of sunshine. I couldn't live without a sunny house. Nick and I enjoy sitting on our front porch soaking up the sun. We are so lucky to have beautiful weather in January. I know we need the rain, but I will take this while it lasts.

Weekend fun

Nick and I love wine. We live in the perfect place for wine tasting, and beautiful scenery. This last weekend we took a drive to visit a good friend who just had a baby. On our way there we stopped at Domaine Carneros for some sparkling.
